obd1 vs. resistor box
i have converted to obd1 but my resistor box is still hooked up. i am using z6 injectors and my car runs fine, but i remember reading somewhere that you are to take the resistor box out and soulder all the wires togeher. i was just wondering why this is necessary and what will it do?

z6 = obd1
It might work but it's not right. You should remove it as the only injectors that need a resistor box are obd0.

What do you mean it's not right??!! It works because it's right. Nothing to do with what obd you're running. Resistor box is needed for peak and hold injectors...it just so happen that obd1 uses saturated type that doesn't require the resistor box.

Well obviously it has nothing to do with obd but i usually just lump the injectors/motors in with the obd. Bad habit, sorry.
Either way, z6 injectors should not need a resistor box. I've heard of people not taking it out and them working but i have no idea how/why because it isn't technically "right." Your post doesn't make sense because it contradicts itself.

You've heard?? Well, you've heard WRONG. Only injectors that need the resistor box are peak and hold injectors. Unless Z6 have 2 sets of injectors made, saturated and peak and hold...so that should explain what you've heard...but personally never heard of it.

ok i gathered that i dont need the resistor box (i have the obd1 z6 injectors) but is it hurting anything because i still have it? does removing it help me gain anything?

Did you miss the first post? Because the OP has it working that way.
You really suck at talking to people btw.
