Default phoenix yellow question

sorry if this question is not exactly Type R related but i was wondering about something..All yellow ITR's were called Phoenix Yellow right?..if so then U guys all know that Yellow/mustard-like color that the E46 M3's came in right?..That color code is also Phoenix Yellow?..How come they look so different then if they are both Phoenix yellow?..

How do you figure the color codes are the same? PY is Y-56.

I need a hug? Which one of us is obsessed with taking jabs at Phoenix Yellow every time it is mentioned? I blew it off the last couple of times, even though it was getting irritating. It's a tired joke that was funny for a minute or two back in 2000. Let the tired joke rest.

I'd like to be able to come to this forum and have some relief from completely unwarranted negative comments. It'd be one thing if this was VW Vortex.. but from fellow ITR owners or former owners, it's annoying. There's just no point in little color factions or whatever. They're all Integra Type-Rs from the factory, and they're all great cars.

You need to get off the internet for a while.

My comments stand.

Sorry I just dont like the color. Painted my Civic PY and it ruined my outlook toward it. I'm scared for life. To think that at one point I wanted a PY ITR too.

Fine, you don't like it. You made your point many times over. Show a sense of fellowship towards the PY owners who happen to like the color and their cars.

BTW I saw a pic of your Civic in PY. It didn't fit the car well.

Wasn't meant to look pretty. Got bored one day and started my first paint project ever. Was a learning experience and the only thing I paid for the paint.

I don't see how you can compare that to a factory paint job, and go on to say that because of a DIY paint job you're scarred for life by the color.

Anyway...

But I'm still scarred. For me the car had to be in perfect light to look good. If it was in sunlight it didn't look good... it was wierd. I have noticed that about PY.

Don't know what to tell you. I drove my other car to work today and as I was pulling away from home, I grinned because the sun was shining bright on my ITR. It wasn't washed out like I presume you're saying. It was practically glowing. I couldn't even see all the dirt on it.

So you don't think I'm singling you out, I think the "black ITRs are fake" baloney is tr - I mean, tired, too.
