I just picked up 16 very good quality Purolator Oil filters from Pepboys for 16cents + 4 stamps + tax. That's 64000 miles of free good quality (per Bobistheoilguy.com testing) oil filtration. I go 4000 miles on these with dino Chevron Oil from Costco (also highly rated) @ ~1.13/qt or something like that.

Basically it breaks down like this:

1) Find & clip coupon (i got mine in last sunday's LA Times section near the funnies, there was another one on the thursday advertisement section attached to the Sports page). This is a national campaign so I'm sure they will be in your respective bigger urban newspapers ie NY Times, Chicago Tribune, etc.
2) Goto Pepboys and CLEAR OUT the Purolator oil filter section! You'll need to do 1 transaction per 4 filters: only 4 filters can show on 1 receipt. Thus I did 4 sale transactions.
3) You'll get a receipt that will show 4 filters @ $3.29 each (here in the LA metro area) -.80cents for a out-the-door sale price of $2.49 each.
4) With your receipts, scan or make a copy of them then FOLLOW THE MAILING DIRECTIONS on the rebate form. You will get a rebate check for 4 x $2.48 each filter.
5) I will be mailing 4 envelopes with my completed rebate form and 4 copies of my receipts.
6) Pepboys rebates always come. If you have any delay, call the toll-free number and I guarantee you'll get your check.
7) Enjoy the almost free oil filters; I noticed when I switched from crappy Frams (i used to be ignorant on the engineering behind oil filters) to these, my slight valve noise disappeared.
