hey guys, i have yet another decision i have come across and need some of your opinions..

i'm looking for an exhaust and i want to keep that oval canister look. the two i have broken it down to were the Tenabe Hyper Medallion and the Apex-i World Sport II.

I hear that the Apex is really quiet. i'm lookin for some sound, but mainly performance. i like how it looks, but everyone has them..
I am leaning more towards the Hyper Medallion because i hear the sound isn't that bad, and it produces pretty good numbers. It SEEMS to me that the canister is a little big, but from the people who've owned it say it's just right.. (and it'll make my whole back end look good w/ the Function 7 LCAs and the ASR subframe + 22mm sway bar)

..i'm still pretty open about an exhaust setup, i want to run SPARK race header w/ my LS, motor in an EK.. i am just looking for that oval canister look.

You won't get a power gain with the Apexi. The Tanabe will give give you a few WHP, but will also be LOUD.

Do you have mods that require an exhaust upgrade, or are you just looking for noise?

 

I have a Tanabe Hyper Medallion and love it! It clears the rear on my del Sol. I have sway bar, lcas, coilovers, tie bars, etc.

The Hyper Medallion isn't loud. It's rather comparable in sound than to the WS2, but it has a lower note.

I have it, and I love it.

 

Corrected, I was thinking of the canister style exhausts.

Just for my $0.02, I also have the medallion and I like it. It gets a bit raspy in the low-mid range but sounds TOO raw once vtec kicks in. mmmmmmBAAAA! Althought the canister looks kinda 'out of place' on my little del sol, it still matches well!

yeh, i think it should look fine on my EK cause it's quite bigger than a del sol. and i am hoping to get that VTEC head soon...

p.s. if anyone knows anyone selling a full b16 VTEC head. please PM me.. need all the equipment for the LS/VTEC swap as well.. thanks!!
