This past weekend at Autobahn was fun. PIC threw an awesome BBQ party and we had nearly 600 people thru the gate (200 drivers + 400 visitors).

Now comes the videos.

Here is a short clip of 2 laps chasing after some German cars. My car was very loose, I couldn't turn as sharp or dive into the corner as fast as I normally would without having the tail stepped out:

With such poor grip, I backed off and let other people by to battle for their class wins. I was the only H2 car that weekend, so there's no need to risk the damage by racing out of class. I think the culprit was the freshly remounted inside-out Toyos in the rear.

 

Great vids (and pictures), Wai. It was nice of you to stop by and chat with me for a couple minutes, lol. Hopefully I can get an HPDE event under my belt one of these days.

Drifto, fishtail, oversteer, they are all the same.

The last spin actually hurt my thumb. I let the steering wheel unwind itself but it hit my left thumb hard. You could see that after I saved it, I took my left hand off the wheel and was like "ouch ouch....!"

Glad to see that you were at least out there...even if you were fighting with the car most of the time. It was fun to watch from the outside, too!!

(I think it's those damn Toyos that made for a crummy day)
