well the previous owner hit a pole or something as the bumper beam is hit in a little. I am going to replace it as i work at a Honda dealer and get parts for cheap. I was going to take it off tonight but I don't want to trigger any sensors just wondering where the airbag sensors are and if i have to watch out when i take off the beam.

here is the part I am taking off. even if there are none attached to this part where are they so i know where to watch out. thanks

 

shouldn't be any triggers.... either way disconnect the battery and leave it off for a while. i believe it's 3 mins but i'd wait longer. and i don't think they're are any sensors on the bumper support. if there were the bag's would have gone off already unless the srs system has been tampered with... ie seat belt harnesses disconnected. red jumpers in srs plugs.

 

thanks. i dont think the SRS system has been tampered with or anything that I know of. but ill unplug the battery for 5 or so minutes while i do it.

 

IIRC, Civics only rely on an accelerometer located in the center of the dash, on top of the tunnel.
