Default greddy turbo upgrade..

okay a buddy of mine has a ap1 with the greddy bolt on kit... he was thinkin about upgrading the turbo.. peferably to a garrett gt35r.. he wants to know if he can just get the gt turbo and swap it out with the greddy.. will it fit the the same as the greddy turbo? just wanted to see if it can be done.. thanks

and y is your friend wanting to upgrade to a 35R?
is he at the limits of the 18G already???

No way he could possibly max out the 18g with only 8psi. That turbo is good to 25psi. But to answer your question, no, the flanges are different.

honestly i dunno why he wants to upgrade, i think he just has to get it tuned better.

but yeah. i plan to get a 07 s2k soon. maybe ill even pick up the greddy kit. or the full-race 35r kit. who knoes lols.

If he wants an upgrade, tell him to get a 20g (or just raise the boost on the 18g). Oh yeah, and retune

when will people learn.. bigger isnt always better....

that 18G on 15+psi will do WONDERS ....

your buddy dropped 5g's on a turbo without knowing how to extract more power ? other than getting a bigger turbo ?

I believe the emanage that comes with the greddy kit is "locked" as far as tuning is concerned. He should just upgrade to the AEM ems, get bigger injectors, and raise the boost on the 18g
