.....just a good buffing compound and a lot of elbow grease should do it.

Claybar works really well.

If you don't have that at your disposal, use some Windex with newspaper instead of a paper towel.

polish, or go to your local glass window place and see if they have any abrasive glass cleaner. this local place has some great abrasive cleaner with some acid in it to. works wonders with windows.

I know......My Girls 07 Fit has some bad stains on the glass. Pretty crappy.

Thanks for the ideas. I will try it and see how it comes out.

Does it happen more to New Glass? My Prelude and teggy have never had that problem. I bought them used.

I have these weird blue looking spots that are permanently on my rear window, I haven't tried to remove them but I would like to eventually.

I wonder if its worth just putting the money I would spend on a cleaner towards a new rear window.

Alright there are alot of ideas in here, although alot of them will not get the stains out. Steel wool is great for doing windows, but I personally have never had great success with it getting stains out, use a clay bar........it works everytime.

Cheapest and best way: Worked very well on my windows that has been baked in the sun with hard water spots for a month without a car wash..

Mix 50/50 white distilled vinegar and distilled water in a spray bottle.
Spray on window and let it sit for 15 minutes.
Scrub off with a sponge, rinse.
Spray Dawn Resolve (blue spray bottle) on window.
Let it sit for 15 minutes.
Scrub with sponge and rinse clean
Drive around town and **** biatches.
Windows will look good as new and also smell good as ****!

I am thinking of trying a few of these together,

Spraying window with water / vinegar mix

Then scraping it off with a razor blade, then wiping with remains off with newspaper towels and maybe a micro fiber cloth?

Then take a claybar to the window and follow up with wet-sanding, should I wet-sand then go over the window with a claybar or claybar first? What one should I do first?

If the spots are gone I will finish things off with some glass polish and a micro fiber cloth.

Let me know what you guys think? It might be overkill but I just got laid off and am really bored, I don't have any tools yet so I have been getting the EF I just bought cleaned up and learning about it.
