any boosted sohc turbo out there!!! I need to know yall guys setup ! and times or E.T.A. wanted to know because I need to know if I can hang with a civic hb with a GSR with basic bolts on. I hate this guy. He has being messing with me since I bought my car.(even with my lil O ragedy CX motor) Now I'm boosting.... getting ready to do afc hack and getting ready to race him... help me out. I wanna win for sure...... Is there a chance????

My buddy has a '98 Civic HB w/fully built '92-'95 Civic EX SOHC Vtec motor, 10psi, 50 shot, ran a 13.2 @ 108

Depending on how heavy the car is, you should smoke a GSR w/BPU's.

Yeah, you should not be worried about a GSR with bolt ons.

well if it was a regular gsr you shouldnt have anything to worry about, but since its in a hb i'm thinking he might win or it will be close. what kinda car do u have?

I gotta 97 coupe. Hondata and injectors are going to be installed soon. I know that Vtec-Civic is running 214hp on his ride.

 

yeah I know, I forgot what kind of setup did he have. I know for sure, if I had that kind of Horsepower I would whip his ***.

 

never been to the track but have beated a 97 hatch with a b20(he claims consistant 14.7s)..i was able to pull on him about 4 maybe 5 cars..ran 3 times...first one i lost control and just stopeed..but the next 2 i took him...set up i have.

car needs major tuning and a new clutch bad....could just be the guy is bsin with his times

 

I've seen a 95 CX with the SOHC VTEC D16z6 run 13.5 on street tires. He was running 9lbs on a stock motor. His setup was street tires, and interior gutted. I've seen hatchbacks with GSR motors with basic bolt ons run in between ranges 13.8 to 14.5.

14.16 @ 100.3mph - 2.4xx 60' (10 psi)
14.63 @ 95.01mph - 2.38x 60' (6psi)

Once I get my 60' times down to something decent, 13.5-13.7 shouldn't be a problem

 

i got a boosted sohc...no track time yet but getting a new v-afc this weekend to help tune it though

 

don't forget some bigger injectors

speak of the devil (gsr hatch) a guy was messing with me the other day in one. he had an intake and exhaust. no ps or ac. i was running 4psi at the time and was slowly pulling on him. i have just a basic turbo kit with an ic. t3/t4 turbo.

get the turbo and boost 7psi. that will show him!!

 

yeah that's really what i was interested in. Changing my little **** turbo for a bigger one. What all do I have to change from a greddy turbo to a t3/t4. I really don't want to buy a whole turbo setup. Can I just buy the manifold,ext wastegate.downpipe only.

 

Manifold, turbo, DP and probably the charge piping, at least right off the compressor.
