Realistic for my goals?
Trying to find a turbo to fit my needs and I think I have narrowed it down, BUT me being ignorant on the subject for the most part, it's best if I get someone who knows what they are doing to give me their opinion.
GT3582R 0.83 a/r
Good choice for my needs?
Wants:
~4-500hp
Mostly track car with the occasional highway drive.
Im not looking for a turbo that reaches full boost at really high rpm.
Im not looking for a turbo that barely reaches ~400 and is at its limits.
Motor: b18c, sleeved, 9.0:1
Sorry if its a little vague, still trying to learn, let me know if I left out any info
Thanks

GT35R is going to be a bit of a late spool on an 81mm motor, IMO, if you are looking for streetcar performance. Not a terribly broad power range.
GT35R on an 81mm motor for a racecar is going to require the engine revs to 9K+ (not a problem for the average sleeved build) as boost will fall off between 8-8.5K shifts if it isn't cranked way up, if you lift off the gas pedal for a split second between shifts, etc.
I'd choke down on the GT35R's turbine side for a streetcar, it won't keep you from laying down 500 on one but would make the ride much more exciting. I'd also consider an inexpensive yet quality .60 T04E for low 400's, or a 60-1 for low 500's, both of which have really good spool characteristics and great longevity.

STC Silver Surfer....it'll spool fast enough to have fun on the street, not break the bank and still get you in that 4-500whp range. If that isn't enough for you, look into the S258 from Borg Warner
35r will easily make 600whp. but they are right. it may be too big for an 81mm street car. i have an 85mm and it still has some lag. it's not bad though. and yes, rev the car 9-9500 rpm.
as for the 60-1 ... great turbo. can make 500+ all day

I've only had Garrett's before so I prefer to stick with them. What is Garrett's equivalent to the 60-1? GT30?
Will a GT30 push 500hp while still being efficient?
How much does A/R affect spool time?
.63 or .82 A/R for Street/Strip?
Sorry so many questions. Just wanting to get it right the first time.

60-1/T3, .63 AR turbine with stage 5 turbine wheel will make for a great street/strip combo. Stepping up to the .82 housing with a bigger bore motor is optional.

true story... I use to run one of these.

the gt3076r will make about the same top end power as the 60-1 but give you much better spool times. i dont think there is a better turbo than this to suit your goals.
