Default Is this welder good enough?

I want to make my own intercooler pipes, maybe some log manifolds, things like that. Is this a good welder for that kind of stuff?

yeah i have that, i like it a lot.. mine is setup for stainless and mild steel, but you can use it for AL you just have to get the right gas, wire and setup the polarity in the machine for it..

Well I'm not going to be doing them for a living or anything. I just know you can get the Tuner Toys Log manifold for like $95.00, you just have to weld them together.

Would or would'ent?

I know about needing a jig so there is no warping.

You don't need a jig, if your purchasing precut log manifolds, as mentioned.
You just need a spare head to bolt the flange to, to prevent warping.

Yes its a good welder, some people will say you should not mig a manifold but there is no reason why you shouldn't . If done right, it will be fine.

Search bailhatch, one of mig manifold makers back in the day.
