I work at a used car dealership. We are starting to sell used bikes and ATV's. We are now also an Aprilla Dealer. Our first new product just arrived minutes ago. 5 Scooters and 3 Bikes.

I do extended service contract work and some service work and some QC. So I'm not directly involved with the new stuff at the moment. But was hoping you guys can fill me in about these things. I don't know much about Aprilla. What kind of product is it? Do you like them? What kind of market do they cater too?

They sponcered the transformers movie, that's about all I know lol.

They are high end bikes, extremely sexy and fast. I personally love them and I think its hard to find people that disagree.

Dumb question. Are they made in the UK or Italy or what? And I don't have access to their site at work so can't look it up, before you all ask.

I just went back there to check them out. And I guess we are waiting for some red tape to come through, so were not even aloud to open the boxes and crates yet Stupid paper work.

We have 5 boxes and 3 crates. And I know we were getting 3 bikes and the rest are scooters. I'll keep ya informed and try to get pics when we can open them. I think we are waiting on a licence to sell new products.

 

Aprilia makes the following bikes, as of 07/08:

Aprilia Shiver


The tuono and RSV Mille are powered by 1000cc V-twins, the shiver by a 750cc v-twin. Aprilia also makes the SXV line of motards, which are also bad-***.

 

You forgot the RXV and the Caponard.

As well as the SXV.

 

The bikes are Italian designed and the motors are Rotax from Austria correct?

I know the motors are very potent.

I just talked to one of the salesman and here is what we got.

3 SR 50 factory (Yellow, Black, Red). I've been told from a reliable sourse that the hp in these little things can be almost doubled pretty easily. But going to try to find out more about that.

1 Scarabeo 500

A couple of 250 and 150 scooters as well.

Also....

1 Tuono 1000 R Grey?
1 Tuono 1000 R Blue

and

1 RSV 1000 R


I still haven't veiwed them yet as the seals have not been broken


Edit: I got a brochure and the SR50 Factory is the freaking coolest looking scooter I've ever scene lol.
