Default EG to EK exhaust swap?

I was just wondering what makes a 1994 Civic Hatch exhaust different then a ek civic hatch exhaust givin they both have b16a's so the catalytic converter was moved to under the car instead of on the manifold? Any insight would be grately appreciated and thanks in advance.

that search button on the top right hand corner, that is colored red, is your friend. this topic has been covered NUMEROUS times and easily found if you did 10 seconds of research.

regardless, they are still two DIFFERENT body styles. the motor doesnt make a difference. a D16y8 EX civic is the same exhaust if you put a B16 in that EX. the exhaust is made for the car, not for the motor.

first off i did search maybe for not the right words but it had the same words i just asked you and all i got was something about a 99 prelude. Second of all the motor does matter because the exhaust may not be made for the motor but it is made for the exhaust manifold and if both of these hatch's were and actually are infact civic CX's the manifold house's the catalytic converter on it instead of the d16y8 manifold were it is placed underneath the car so all in all you see that red button labeled Search use it this topic has been posted NUMEROUS times and if you took 10 seconds to search you would understand this thanks and have a nice day!

Anybody have any insight as to how exactly these to exhaust systems run like bracket locations length maybe a picture of the 2 different exhausts lieing next to one another?

regardless between a 92-95 cx and a 96-00 cx, they both have a catalytic converter under the car in the same location. the OBDII, 96-00 cx has two converters, not just in the exhaust manifold. therefore, the exhaust is made for the body.

EDIT: 92-00 coupe exhausts are the same. Hatchbacks are different.

No they dont they both have there catalytic converters on the exhaust manifold located directly behind where your condenser would be in front of the motor since they have the catalytic converters on the exhaust manifold the "b" pipe that connects under the catalytic converter that bends then goes under the oil pan is actually longer then a "b" pipe on a d16y8 or d16z6 because it must take up the space where a catalytic converter WOULD be if it had one underneath the car.

Edit: Ill agree to the best of my knowledge with you on your edit.

well now that i've gone off track here, but we know that EG and EK catback exhausts are different.

i really just need to know if the hangars for the exhaust are near the same locations and if the exhaust runs the same length before bending?

i'm using an eg exhaust on my ek,

i had to cut one of the exhaust hangers on the midpipe, and buy longer rubber hangers for the muffler (meaning ek and eg muffler hangers are a tab different). i did relocate the catalytic converter underneath the car.

gsr swap with itr headers and 2 1/2" collector used.
