one of the battery cables fell off... car died, will not start now
i put the cable back on obviously, and tightened it up. car goes like its going to start, but just will not turn over. its like the whirr of the ignition before the car starts, just rolling over and over... not a dead starter click... the vafc suddenly after this was getting no power or something, the screen will not go on. SO i wired it out. the car still does nots tart. i am checking the fuses as we speak
battery may be dead.
i had that when my battery was almost gone. jump start it.

BTW - was it the +, or the - that came loose?
okay, so i just went and chekced the fuses. .. the #24 fuse was shot.. i replaced it twice, and both times when i tried to start the car it blew! anyone have any idea?
if its still blowing then the negative and positive currents are still making contact somewhere ...check under the hood carefully...remember: almost everything metal under the hood acts as a negative ground...make sure the positive cable are not touching anything shouldn't be

I don't know if this is going to help but if it was the positive cable that came off, there is a chance you blew the fuel pump fuse under the hood (EFI 15 amp fuse) (I don't know if that is the # 24 fuse). When you open the fuse box under the hood, it is the last fuse (deepest in the box) on the passenger side.
okay, i looked around and carefully put the terminals back on. put in a new fuse, rechecked the ecu connections and started the car and it still blew the fuse. someone help!
There is definitly a short. What battery wire came off? CHeck the underhood fuel injection fuse (its 15amp fuse)
i dont really suggest you do this by yourself. it's too risky, you could of shock yourself to death. use a little money to save ur life, tow the car to autoshop and let "experince" people do it for you

Check the 100 amp fuse in the box. I stuck a screw driver once trying to tension an alternator and it blew. Nothing would work and battery was fine. do you have a multimeter or something that requires a 12v current? Check the fuses and go from there. Careful, contrary to the previous post 80 ampers of current will kill you several times over.

80 amps at 12v, or 80 amps at 110v?
80 amps is as dangerous at 12 volts then it is at 110 volts. And even if you have the battery disconnected, there can still be some charged capacitor waiting to fry your ***.
