Default Wont Start. fuel, spark, compression...WTH

Well heres the story i sm out of ideas so maybe someone can share their opinion

Car:
92 cx
JDM B18C
Skunk 2 cams and valves, springs, retainers
sk2 mani
stock injectors
stock FPR
chipped p28 running crome

Ok well i drove the hatch to work this morning, no problems everything was normal. Come 5:00 get in the car and it cranks like crazy but will not fire or even pretend to fire. After trying a few things with limited tool selection we pull it home. So i get it home i check the coil, specs out ok, check the ICM checks out fine. Test to see what the spark looks like and it lookss strong as can be. So we move on to the fuel and the injectors smell of fuel a little but nont enough to convince me so we see if the rail is getting pressure and it is. So we decide to change out the coil and icm out of desperation and still no go as suspected. and finally we hook up an led to each injector clip individually to find out that #4 isnt firing BUT the "firing" wire is solid all the way to the ECU.. Anyways I would think it would run on 3 cyl. so my next step is to find a stock gsr ecu i can test. but other than that i am all out of ideas. If you have run into anything like this please post up. I just dont know its so wierd TIA

Overview:
Compression- 250-250-250-250
Spark- Yes at the plugs very strong
new coil
new ICM
main relay- started another car but still under suspicion
Fuel- 50psi
injectors getting signal from ecu
injector resistance - 12-12-12.1-12
INJECTORS DO NOT FIRE
Cranks really strong
Fuel pump primes (only sometimes now) and pumps during crank (always)
All grounds ARE 100%
Reman dizzy swapped in to test.

update: timing is fine, and i tried an LS ecu because it was the only thing i could get and the fuel pump wont prime with it.

try a different relay.

is the fuel pump prime with the other ecu's?

check your fuses.

might be the ecu fuse.

you also might need a new coil, but since you're getting spark, i doubt that's the issue.

Ok, well i changed the relay out with a one from oreillys and it seems to be bad cuz the pump doesnt prime. so checked the grounds especially the thermostat ground made sure i had fuel at the rail and everything is fine. I am out of things to check. although i guess i havent really tried a "good" relay
next on the list and the lasdt things i can even think of are the injectors and another relay

I checked the fuses and the coil was replaced just in case and still no fire

I am down to timing and testing another relay and the injectors

Have you checked Compression?
We had something like this happen to us overnight basically. I gave up and took it to a mech. He said there was no compression and stopped at that. I took it to another guy and he got it running. It was flodded so bad it washed out the cylinders. He pulled the plugs and injectors out and let it sit overnight. Came in the next day and installed the plugs only and it fired, for a short time of course. So he changed the oil installed the injectors and plugs and I'm still driving it. Compresson came back up after the oil change.
Just a thought for you to ponder on.
I wish you luck Bud.

It has 250psi in every cylinder.

civicsisol you have to have a certain amount of posts to post in the classifieds you need to contribute to the community before using the classifieds

ok well i have 12-12.1 ohms on each injector but my leads have about 0.3 in them so i dunno seems like they are fine if each are the same.

I am running out o f things to check. Are there any other sensors that will keep the engine from firing? I have heard maybe the ECT sensor below the dizzy and maybe the crank angle sensor. please help i am getting desperate.

How much fuel pressure are you getting to the lines? Even though your getting fuel to the lines doesnt mean your getting the correct amount.

i dont have a gauge on it but i think i am going to spray some starter fluid in the cylinders and see if it fires a little. That way if it does then i know i need to look further in the fuel system.

i still wonder if there is a sensor that would keep it from starting that i am overlooking.

Latest update

Injectors wont shoot fuel. we pulled them out and cranked it and nothing came out. but as i said before they ARE getting the signal from the ecu. So we have narrowed it down to the injectors...but what are the odds off all 4 failing at once? or are they wired in series and one died? anyways trying to source some injectors to try ill update later

Damn dornon13 You've tried a lot of things here.

OK I'll get stupid now. Lets get real simple now. (Never know)
- Fuel in the tank? (I've seen it happen before)

best of luck on getting her fired up. I feel your frustration, been there.

ok guys so i have started getting into the injector system and the injectors are supposed to be getting battery voltage but for some reason I am only getting 8.75V at each injector. It makes no sense at all i have checked all the grounds with a volt meter and they are ALL good. post up i have no idea anymore.

you did this with a voltmeter?

your not supposed to do that. it will send voltage back to your ecu fring it.

your supposed to use a tool called a noid light.

stay strong man dont give up its a learning experence
