Gas smell?
So tonight. For the second time i get in my car to drive home and the ac is spitting out a gas smell.
Recap of what happened before: I drove for about 30 minutes to clearwater. let it sit for about an hour while i was going my thing and came back. its only done this one other time. it didnt start spitting out the gas smell until after i got on it alittle bit to get around this guy in a round-about.
any suggestions?

hmmm. car is lowered.... could be a possibility. where would i look. directly until the front? im not really sure how the ac works and where they would even meet.
Not sure if this is even possible, but the injectors could be leaking a little, and the vapors are being sucked in by the air conditioner intake at the bottom of the windshield. Just an idea. Good luck finding the source.
I think you can spry some soapy water on every joint/connector you suspect to find the leak...but get more help from pros...
if you smell gas - you must fix this - before something serious happen.

If it was a fuel line I think you would smell the gas all the time. When you "got on it" like you said it could have put more pressure on the injector o-rings, and that's when it leaked a little. When the fuel injectors leak, the gas will evaporate quickly on the hot intake, so the smell doesn't last long. It's also pretty close to where the A/C intake is. Get someone to sit in the car and rev it up a little, and see if you can spot something leaking. Good luck.
The o-rings and seals would not cost much. The fuel rail has to be removed to get them out. It's not a hard job really. Make sure this is where the leak is before changing things. Good luck.
