Default this sucks

since i'm lazy and didnt make a new copy of my ignition key

so then my car breaks and i'm about to put a new tranny in it and i've lost my ignation key, any idea what i can do? can i call honda and see if they have my key on record? or get a new ignation barrel w.e. it is? And i have to have this car fixed in a week

New ignition lock cylinder or w/e its called. It takes less than an hour to put in usually. I did it on my eg civic fairly quickly.

I think I paid like 15 for it and it comes with two keys. You do have to have the key in a certain position to pull it out. A shop manual will tell you how to remove and install

yeah I always just take my vin # to honda and they can make one from your vin but you need to show proof that you own the car

take your registration or title and your drivers license to the dealer ship $9 later you have a new key. its not a big deal

These two guys are right.

Call Honda up and ask about it. They should confirm what you'll need to bring in and how much it will cost.

You'll need:
- VIN
- Proof of ownership
- Photo ID
- Cash to pay for the new key
