Default Pressure Plate Issues...............

i have a brand new ACT pressure plate H023X just wondering if it's ok to put on
my 05 EX without changing the clutch disc, i have only 25k on the car,
reason i want to change the plate is because i hate the soft pedel feel, and i wont have the money for a while to buy an ACT street disc,

thx for any input

I think its kinda pointless to waste the time and effort pulling the tranny off just to change the pressure plate. Change it all or dont bother. You're just gonna have to open it up again to change the disc later.
If its not broken, dont mess with it... just change the spring under the dash if you want it to be stiffer.

I wouldn't suggest changing your pressure plate without changing the disc... think of it this way...

your clutch opperates kinda the same as your disc brakes do... would you change your rotors and not get new pads? it'd be best to swap both at the same time
