well i bought my jdm d15b vtec and the guy tells me that the compression numbers are on the vavle cover what do the numbers mean and what is the good range for a motor
because my motor has compression of 200,200,215,200. can someone tell me what does that mean?

 

it means you have a good motor....if your compression numbers were say 200,200,120,200 then that would mean cylinder #3 is about dead and your car would already run like poop, meaning a swap or rebuild is in the near future.

but something like your numbers being as close as they are you are fine, that's just a reassurement that the motor you were buying would be a good running motor, i'd compression test it again after you have it in, if for nothing else to see if the guy was bullshitting you.
