Knock sensor unpluged...
What? Why would you unplug the knock sensor in the first place? Also what kind of motor is it and ECU... If it is an ecu that doesn't have a knock sensor then sure why not.. won't trigger a cell..
But if the ECU does have to have a knock sensor leave it connected OR ELSE... (the motor will run like ****)
edit: Yes if the ecu has the knock enabled you will blink a code... (thats if you unplug it)

Ok this is what happend i was throwing a 23 code on my b16a crx and i rest the ecu and it came back so i checked the KS if it was loose or anything and it was moving and the plastic part broke off here is a picture:
so i bought a used one from a shop, then put it on and same thing happend the plastic broke on the KS. so idk, has anyone had a KS brake like this?? also if its unpluged or showing a CEL, how bad will it run?? anyone??

the same exact thing just happened to me. there's 2 small wires that go from the metal piece on the sensor piece. i'm gonna try to solder mine back on to where those 2 solder spots are on the metal part and then just glue the two pieces together.
Happened to me as well. quedo148, I had the same idea to solder the wires to the sensor and then glue the two pieces. But I need to get the sensor first out of the car, btw did u guys get it without raising the car? Anyway the real question is that did it work after you soldered the sensor back together?
I can't seem to find a way to remove the sensor.
How in the world are you supposed to get it out when there are injection pipes on top of it and under it goes oil pipes. In addition to that, the sensor (when in one piece, mine isn't though but when repair it and intend to put it back) is too long for any regular wrench sockets.
Do you really need to take the whole injection system off before you can remove the sensor?
