Are black hoods considered retarded on cars that arent black. say with red car with black hood or silver with black. i think they look pretty cool but i dont want to go there and get flamed by everyone else. want people to think my ride is nice. not rice

i have a cf hood now. im not quite sure if people are trying to imitate a cf hood or just being different. a red ej8 or em1 coupe is quite common, just thinkin cf hood attracts too much attention. especially in areas high in theft. just askin opinions.

main reason i painted my cuz soemthign pretty heavy was droped on the old one, so i got replacment, but i didnt feel like paintiugn it white myself and having off tone lookign white hood, or paying like 300 to paint it

 

im not saying its going to get stolen, im just sayin it gives the attraction that there is something more to the car to get stolen.

 

i never thought about fooling anyone, its pretty clear to see whats the CF is all about and i think black hood is just some cheap, stupid race styling, haha i guess im cheapo

if you have a cf hood, leave it or paint it. I would probably paint it, because I don't like the attention.

If it's not carbon fiber paint it. I think it's ricey when you paint it black and it's not cf.

 

I would say... if you are doing it for the look (which most people are) just paint the damn thing. Otherwise you are spending 500 plus on a CF hood that you bought because you wanted to have a black hood. Who gives a **** what others think.
