Searched everywhere.... How do I remove my Acura Badges?
I looked on HT and even through google, but I couldnt really get any good Info on how to remove the Acura badges and "acura" on the back of my 1995 Integra gsr.. I am going to put ITR Red Honda badges and the "honda" on the back... And I dont want it to look anything short of perfect, so if anyone has a good link, or good info I would love to hear it, thanks.
Heat gun or hair dryer or if you have a thin guitar string that is the best way to remove the emblems.
thats what my friend told me, so I guess its a good idea then... what about removing the left over sticky crap, would goo-gone hurt my paint??
No it won't hurt that is usually what I use but before you use that I would try removing it with your finger nails.
Heat gun will melt things, like your paint, or the badge.
I used an old credit card, worked really well.
Goo gone did not work as well as I had hoped for the residue, I ended up using my fingernails alot...

Have you ever held a guitar string? The only way you could scratch your paint is if you were mentally retarded. I actually used a guitar string after I repainted my entire car and I have OCD when it comes to my car and paint.

I've used a heat gun without any problems, you just have to keep it at a distance. I was talking more along the lines of a hair dryer because they don't get to hot to hurt the paint but hot enough to soften the tape.

You have to let it sit a few minutes first.

I own a guitar and regardless, nothing metal is going to be dragged across the finish.

Fishing string works pretty good.
I used a heat gun, (not being a dumb *** and heating it up until my paint melted) fishing string to get the bade and emblems off.
Then when they were off I used Goo-Gone and elbow grease with a towel. Soak the towel in it, soak the sticky **** in it, let it sit for a few moments.
