Default D15B7 Head On a D15z1 Block...?

Will this bolt right on without any problems? Wut will i have to change if I do swap the heads? Only reason im doing this is to get the car running to sell it.

Oh no.. Its the other way around... that would be something like B7 Block with vtec Z6 or Z1 head.. not a vtec block with a non-vtec head.. lol

Sorry, I must have read your post too quickly...

I don't know enough to give you a definite answer, but my hunch is that it will work. You just need to ensure that there is adequate valve clearance.

Free bump for you...

Could I use the stock D15Z1 ECU.. which is Vtec-E.. and have no problems with the non-vtec D15b7 head on it..?

Vtec-e is not the same as Vtec, it wont be a trouble with your computer and it should fit. The only thing you might experience is the check engine light on.

the ecu will still look for a solenoid, and yes vtece isnt the same as regular vtec but it uses the same system to function with a solenoid and everything. so the ecu will throw a cel, but im pretty you could pic up a p07 for free
