????seat rails????vision one touch
I got my new vision rails in yesterday. I put them in and the drivers side slides ok but not the greatest. On the other had the passenger side is bad it doesn’t want to slide hardly at all. So I took them back out and to the grease out of them and re-greased them with some good Mobil 1 grease it got a little better but they still are hard to move. You guys have any ideas for me?
Mine don't move that easy but I like it that way since the rails only lock on one side and not both like oem rails. That and I rarely move my seat back and forth so it really doesn't bother me.
got them b/c i have recaro's and they had 99 civic rails on them and they made them set way up in the air and i'm 6'-5" and that didn't work to good i don't move my seat at all it all the way back but i do sometimes let my nephew in the back seat on the passanger side
my sparco is like that.....
trying gradually tightening the bolts and slide the seat back and forth in between tightening....
for some reason, when i tighten mine this way it seems to align(spread) the rails and base better...... and it slides easier.......
i know this sound weird.....
but i think the factory rails/base are manufactured at higher(better) tolerances

Grease 'aint going to do much for you, because it's not the problem.
Before you put the seat rail on the seat, you have to make sure that the two spring loaded rails are 100% parallel to each other. Even 1 notch off will put more pressure on one side when you bolt it to the bottom of the seat due to resistance. Therefore when you slide the seat forward and back, it feels like it doesn't want to go. As I said, it's something that grease won't fix.
Here's what you do:
1) Take seat out of car
2) Unbolt seat rail from seat
3) Place the seat rail on the ground, mounting side down, and using the slide engagement lever make sure both rails on each side are lined up perfectly (They move independently).
4) Test this by securing the mounting points on the floor, raise the slide engagement lever and move both rails back and fourth to ensure they slide properly and with no resistance (this is a bit tricky considering they're spring loaded).
5) Carefully disengage the slide lever and double check that both rails are still parallel.
6) Carefully bolt to the bottom of the seat.
7) Using the slide lever, double check your work, and make sure the rails slide smoothly back and fourth.
8) Reinstall in car and triple check.
Should do the trick
