air condition problem
I have a 2001 Honda Civic LX. Last night I noticed a knocking in the motor area. It's not steady like a rod knocking but more of an off rhythm knock that comes and goes. When it is knocking I can get it to stop instantly by turning off the A/C What is causing this knock, and generally speaking what will the repair cost? Also, does this need to be repaired instantly or can I continue to use my A/C for a while without creating more damage resulting in greater cost? It still cools great. Thank You -William (from Carolina Beach NC)
Sounds like it could maybe be the pulley bearing on your A/C compressor, or the compressor itself - all you're doing when hitting the A/C switch is stopping the comp spinning. Sounds like that might be your problem.

No need to yell.... check out your caps lock button (when the green light at the top right of your keyboard is lit that says "Caps Lock"... that means it's on)
I like EM2_UK's response I don't know for sure either but sounds good lol
