Short Shifters for high 9 sec, low 10 sec cars
I feel dumb asking this question and I'm not sure if this is personal preference but which short shifter do you guys like/recommend?
I currently have the stock integra shifter and not sure if I should change it or not.

Stock is the only way to be. I have heard, and let me make this very clear before I get crucified on here, I HEARD...... that when you put a short shifter in it changes the geometry of how the shifter is suppose to lay out and can hurt things. I haven't been willing to test it but I use the stock one.
You could always ask Art for his "magic" shifter..
Otherwise, I'd use the stock one, although there is another option if the motor is mounted very solid..

yeah but that shifter necessitates an engine that can spin 15k+
i have a ghetto short shifter in there, and it is coming out in favor of a gsr dual bend and maybe solid bushings.

I have the GSR dual bend and I was thinking of buying the solid bushings. I was under the impression that the short shifters shift so fast that overtime you will wear out the syncros.
Sorry for an off topic Q but as were talking about bushings, what solid bushings do you recommend replacing in the rear to prevent sag in the rear suspension. I have the Omni power drag coilover but shouldn't I change the trailing arm bushings etc?

yer god damn right
FWIW, i had short shifters in both my racecars, and i just liked the way it felt.. And it was, in no way shape or form, a problem... its pretty much all preference

With this shift ****.

With gloves on a GSR shift **** seems to bulky to me.

as far as i know the problem with the having a short shifter is that your reacts a lot faster then your foot so when you try to **** really fast your hand doesn't give your foot enough time to clutch properly, so far the only solution that i have seen is to get a omni clutch master cylinder that engage the clutch faster when you step on the pedal

I have had a B&M for the last 3 years i didnt go 9's but lows 12's at LACR and never once had a miss shift or any problems.
I and some friends have tried all sorts of short shifters, varying from skunk2 to ebay, to cheap checkpoint junk, to b&m, etc, and they all seem to break in half. I went back to stock and it has been great.
Stock FTMFW.

I agree about the breakage... but I went to the B&M dual bend, and I cant break it, and I like the way it feels.. Though others have said that they dont...

Perhaps the effect of the SS depends on the car it's going into. I put one in my Accord and I love it. Before the install I had really looooong shifts. Now they are tight, short, and more precisie. (forbidden motorsports SS
