installed a CD player, now having problems with windows/moonroof/not coming out of park
I own a 1998 Honda Accord Coupe EX 4cyl. I just bought a new CD player. I hooked it up regularly with a wiring harness straight to the new CD player. A friend that intalls car stereos for a living suggested that I put in a Mobile Audio Interfacing box in between the CD player and the wiring harness. Wee hooked it up and the volume was very low and the sound was distorted. So he left and I was going up to the store to buy some electrical tape to re-install it how I had it (CD player right to wiring harness) and all hell broke loose. I started the car, but it will not come out of park (can't shift), the windows and moonroof don't work, and as far as I can tell none of the guages work accept the gas guage. I checked all the fuses and they are all good. I think it might be computer related. Please, if anyone who reads this can give me any kind of info I would be eternally gratefull.

Why would anyone suggest any kind of interface on a Civic? Definitely not necessary...
Anyways... When you say that you checked all the fuses, did you actually verify continuity with a meter or did they just "look good"??? Did you check both fuse boxes?
Your shift interlock, gauges, moonroof & windows have nothing to do with your ECU.
Something was miswired. You didn't mention what make/model deck you installed, but make sure that illumination wires are connected properly, all unused wires are capped or depinned, and that there are no wires pinched/shorting out.
