how much can i add?
i bought a 99 auto ls a little over year ago. i really needed a car that was gonna last a long time cuz i drive alot. i already put 30k on it. Anyways, since i looked into the world of imports, i've spent more money adding aftermarket parts than paying off the damn car. i've put almost every external bolt-on part i can think of. i was just wondering if anyone had any idea how much more i can add or how much it can take before blowing the auto tranny and putting in a manual trans. i love driving stick, but it starts to suck when your stuck in 2 hrs of traffic every day going to and from work. it's dynoed at 168 whp. any info would help. thanks
injen cold air, skunk intake manifold, dc header, skunk exhaust, UR pullies, skunk cams, dc fuel rail, magnacore wires, holley throttle body, stock tires are practically slicks

ur right allmotor, i meant cam gears. i was just wondering if i drop in a turbo or some nos, will my tranny be able to take it without falling apart?
OK, First of all i would like to wave the BS flag for your 168whp. They don even make Skunk2 cams for non vtec engines. I saw a dyno of a GSR with I/H/E cam gears, skunk2 cams, MSD ignition, high flow cat, ITR IM, ITR TB. And he dynoed at 167.8whp. So your tellin me that you non vtec engine with the same mods as a GSR has the same whp?? I dont think so. You are sayin tht you added almost 60hp to the wheels with some bolt ons. stock LS only dynoes at 110whp. Unles you got the dyno sheet to prove it, your full of ****.

totally skeptical. I had all those bolt ons and then some... and then a lot more... and i know i wasn't near 168whp let alone 160 or probably 150 whp. Are you sure thats what the dyno said or did you just add 20 hp to your stock 140 everytime you added something? not to sound like an @$$hole but that's just not realistic, sorry. Also, with the auto tranny, you are essentially loosing even more potential whp... so lets talk in means of hp @ the flywheel.... you are saying you are close to 200 ? Nope, sorry... no way did you gain about 80 horses at the flywheel with those mods.

a stock teggy runs about 118 whp. i have 17 konig imagines on my ride but put my stock alloys on just for the dyno( they're not great for everday driving), there are skunk cams, and if u've ever put 102 octane in your tank, u can definitly feel the difference. 168 is no bs
it is BS and if you were in NC I would PAY to watch your dyno and kiss your bare @$$ if I saw 168 whp. I'd then sell my soul to Ford and move on to being an oil changer for life.
Skunk2 doesn't make cams for the LS... you've been confusing on that... you start out saying cams, then cam gears, and now cams again. Make up your mind. Nobody has any respect for a newbie making statements such as your past 10 or so.
How about this... make a list of EVERY SINGLE MOD you have done to your car, be specific, and lets see how much sense this makes when it's all down in frront of everyone. It's only 7:30... in a few hours there is going to be a lot of flaming, so lets get this settled now.
Erik <- No LS with those mods will make 168 whp... let alone an auto ls.

Skunk2 does not make cams for the Integra LS. Even if you were to have semi aggressive cams like Crower 403's, an LS could never make 168 whp with the setup you listed. Cams in an LS will only give you around 10 whp. Either you're full of crap, or the people who dynoed your car are BS'ing you. I have an LS with I/H/E, cam gears, fuel reg., fuel rail, S-AFC (all dyno tuned) and I only made 130 whp. If you want real power that isn't a load of crap, really the only way to get it from an LS is a turbo. I reccomend a Drag III or RevHard.

and I only made 130 whp..
So when is someone gonna tell him that his LS doesn't benefit from the higher octane race fuel? Not to say, by any means, that race fuel won't help/be needed for some LS's, but not with those mods.

EDIT: Crower valvetrain, Crower 62404's, high compression pistons, this and that, and TUNING could blow up past 200 whp, but we're not talking about bolt ons at that point

I would like to know whre he would get 168 hp if it was from the crank and not the wheels. If an LS could makethat much power with the bolt onsthat you said you had, then no one would ever waste their time to find a GSR to buy. They wouldall buy LS and save the extra money for the bolt-ons(including Skunk2 cams for an LS!!! (hahaha). Next time try to make it sound a little more reasonable- like 135whp or something.
168 whp is pretty good for a LS. Doesn't a stock ITR dyno around the same whp?
YA dumbass, what kinda of idiotic question was that of course the ITR make around 168 WHP u stupid ***!
newbies grrr

chill out man..
that's just wait till the "Man" who posted this up to show us some dyno sheets.... be cool yo~~
I've seen a b18b with the 404's and crower valvetrain, stage 4 P&P, 5 angle valve job, 2mm oversized valves, bored 20 over, sleeved, JG Victor X manifoold, 68mm (i think) tb, jdm dc 4-1 header, test pipe, n1, 12.5:1 je pistons, crower rods, s-afc, a lot of tuning, and just about 209.x whp on 110 gas. Built to run a DP big shot but it isn't set up yet. I know the guy with this build and it RUNS STRONG. A lot of money for that power though. More than I could ever justify spending on an all-engine build, especially with a b18a/b. I'm sure it has more here and there, but i really don't know the specifics. I saw the dyno with my own two eyes though, if I had a scanner and if I saw the guy more than once or twice a month around town I would get him to email it to me but he isn't the most computer savvy person.

PS- Still calling BS on your 168whp...

Ehh, give the guy a break. Maybe he makes the power, maybe he doesn't.
More importantly, he's asking whether his tranny can handle it. I did a quick scan and I didn't see a response. Anywho, with minor bolt-ons such as what you have, the auto tranny should hold up no problem. It's when the massive torque increase of a forced induction application comes into play, does an auto tranny get weird.
Horsepower doesn't play as much of a role in tranny damage as torque does. That's the one that's gonna start ripping and twisting things inside that complicated auto tranny.
