ac in 91 d16z6 swap
I am wondering what i will need to put ac back into my 91 sedan. It is an LX so it came with ac originally but the guy that did the swap cut the lines at the firewall and everything else is gone. I might be getting a deal on a stock setup for an 88-91 I just need to know if the stock setup will work or if i need parts off of a z6. Thanks
By cut, do you mean disconnected or did he really "cut" the lines?
The only tricky part is the compressor and bracket. If you can use the original compressor and bracket on the Z6 engine then you are good to go. If you have to use the Z6 compressor and braket, then you will most likely need to convert the sedan's AC lines to connect to the Z6 compressor. Then it is all just a matter of connecting the lines, condensor, drier, evaporator, put new o-rings, oil, vacuum and fill the system.
Do you know how to work on AC systems?

no i mean he really cut the lines and then kinda crimped them about three inches off the firewall. And i havent had much experience with ac systems since none of my vehicles yet have had it.
