I'm moving to New York, the caR must bee sold (2000 PY ITR)
UPDATE: Car was sold 7/30/07. I'll miss you #1485.

I am listing the car on ebay due to moving across the country. I would really appreciate if the new owner has the same passion and respect this car as I have had the past couple of years.

Seen this for sale in the marketplace, for a while. It's a shame no one has picked it up. If i could get rid of my gs-r, i would buy it. GL with the sale
believe it or not, R's can survive in NY and would be nice to add another to the usual NYers
if you have to get rid of her, GL and hope she goes to a good home.
where in NY are you heading?

I'm planning on moving to Williamsburg. But the problem is that I live 3000 miles away and trying to get an apartment without really seeing it or having any pictures is just so hard. I'm trying to use craigslist but now it's getting really frustrating.
As much as I would love to have the car there, I am scared of theft, and think I would rather live the life of a true New Yorker and ride the subway... haha.
I would love to go a NY meet out there with other ITR owners, I don't really know anyone there and meeting new people would be a definite plus.

Pretty sure you can rent a house around or close to there for pretty much the same price and renting an apartment man, take a look into it...
no way cory...commuting to NYC is hell. even if I doubled my current shitty salary I dont think I could do it. doubt youll find a house anywhere close to NYC for what you would pay to rent an apt. you would definitely need some room mates. Ive got a few friends in williamsburg, Ive heard some crazy stories of violence. NYC is one of the last places I would ever live lol.
Yeah you may want to sell the R then if your destination is Brooklyn. The insurance alone will drain your pockets- Plus if you do not park the car in a garage, the chances are certain that it will get stolen.

if you bring the ITR to NYC, be prepare to pay ~ $5,000-$8,000 for full coverage insurance, $350/month for a secured parking spot, not be able to drive it anywhere, extreme paranoia, and your first breakin/theft attempt within the month
other than that, there are no downsides
ask me how i know
