i just put a new b16 in my crx and the ecu that came with it makes it run like ****. when driving it sounds horrible and wont go over 5,000 rpm. but when i put the ls ecu in it it runs nice. any suggestions?

 

use the ecu that makes it run nice.......

useing my ls ecu means no vtec. plus the ecu that came witht he motor cost me a 150$. so ya

 

what ECU is it? CEL?

 

no cel's are thorin and its the b16 ecu cant remember the numbers

 

is your Motor obd1 or obd0

they make NEW obd0 B16s?


try a known good pr3 or pw0 ecu.

 

well it has less than 30k miles so barely new lol

yup just like stray says it has to be a pwo pr a pr3. It the ecu does not say any of these 2 and your motor is bd0 then your motor will not be running right. If your interested in a ecu i have a Pr3 for sale

 

Yup. Or give it a tune up and see if that helps

 

You are using the wrong computer or it is damaged just get the pr3 thats your best bet. Or get your self a jumper and try a p28.

 

ya they sent me a automatic ecu and am sending it back for a manual one so i can finally feel vtec in a b16 but other than that atm am riding with a ls ecu

you'll hear it...probably wont feel ****.

i'm just hoping, since you got the auto ecu, you didnt get the auto b16. the cams in an auto b16 suck complete sack.
