PolyUrethane Primer Paint? / 50 dollar paint job
I have finished sanding down my car and im planning to do the "50 dollar paint job". I was wondering what kind of PRIMER paint should I get for my polyurethane front and back bumpers so I can use the rust-o-leum paint on it? Is that available at a local home depot or pepboys?
Also does anyone know how to remove the rear small window rubber moldings and winshield rubber molding on a 2 door 96 civic?

you dont need primer. thats part of the $50 paint job. scuff the paint with 80 grit then go over it again with 220 then 320. rinse it off, wipe clean with a tack cloth and your ready to paint. follow the instructions and it'll be all good. just pull the rear window moldings off. you will have to use adhesive when you re-install them. the windshield has clips on the sides. pull them carefully. use a long flathead screwdriver to unclip them. Good luck. takes a LONG TIME.

you def. should NOT just rip those moldings off,but since your doing a $50 paint job then I guess you don't care what your car will look like.

So I just use the rust-o-leum paint on my polyurethane bumpers?
thank you for the replies.
i do care about my car, is there any other non aggressive way to pull the moldings off?
I've seen some very well done 50 dollar paint jobs, since I have the summer I will take my time and enjoy painting.

well you cant pull them off the rear window anyway, the window needs to come out.
the rear quarter glass can be pulled but i dont rec. it because they are sealed on and a BITCH to put back on
