Default Proud 94 Accord Coupe Owner - Problem/Question about CD Changer

Hi everybody! I just recently acquired a cherry of an Accord EX coupe with only 90k miles on it, with all the goodies for that MY, and am more than satisfied with it, but have one problem. When I first acquired the car, the CD changer worked flawlessly, but now, nothing. Over the weekend, I started to notice it began skipping on CD's that I had burned on my computer, and even store bought CD's. After work one day this weekend (I think it was Sunday), it stopped working - you select a CD using a preset button, it pops it in the changer, you can hear the laser trying to read it, and after about 10 seconds, gives up, cycles to the next, etc. Until finally on the in-dash display it reads "CD000" ... Which isn't even a listed error code in the owners manual. Anyone else familiar with this problem, or any ideas on how to potentially correct it? Your help would be greatly appreciated! I certainly hope its not dead, because it sounded great- for the first week!

Thanks!,
Andrew T.

Time for a new system... stock accord radios suck.

Having the same issues with the '95 EX. It will cycle through each CD and then finally show the "CD000" code. Pretty fraking annoying when it did work. Is it possibly a dirty laser lens? Or do these disc players just die?

TIA

Had the same problem playing burned discs in my 96 w/ factory cd player. Burnable cds were not out yet when the players were made. The only solution I've found that works is to buy Taiyo Yuden brand blanks. They work fine as long as you burn them on slow-medium speed. Not sure if I'm allowed to post certain links, so let's just say you can find them online at the store that begins with "A"

Edit: Corrected spelling of Taiyo Yuden

Not a burned disc issue, the discs are all originals not copies.

Lol stock cd players, useless. It's easy to swap in a dash kit and a head unit. Just make sure to have a magnet handy incase you drop a screw. http://www.installdr.com/installdocs...PDF/466037.asp
