Default D series swaps?

Before anyone asks, i searched. All that comes up is stuff for b series. Im just wondering, all d-series engines will swap right into any d series chassis, right? And i would be able to use my transmission (Its almost brand new)? Ive got a 88 crx SI right now, and i was thinking about D15B out of 92-95 civic SI's, if that makes any big difference.

I know ill have to atleast get an OBD0 to OBD1 conversion harness, or i believe i can just run my OBD0 intake manifold and distributor, but id rather go OBD1 to be honest, just for ease of swaps/getting parts later.

If anyone has a thread or a site that i can read about this, thats great too, i just cant find much about doing d series swaps. Seems everyones either doing B's or H's or even k swaps... Id rather just do a d, since the engines are so cheap and if i go boost, doesnt matter if i blow one to peices.

Yea for the most part your right, OBD1 is the most friendly tuning and everything. D series can make series power, and all you need is a good tune to keep from blowing.

Yeah i like the idea of a d-series mainly because no one around here really does it. Most of the guys i know whove done a swap have done a b-swap or an h-swap. In EF's anyway.

Are there any threads or sites about this though? I want to read up a little more on whats available but i cant find resources like i can with B/H series swaps.

If its just a "simple" drop and wire though, i think that pretty much seals it... Being able to use my tranny is good too, i dont really want to do a hydro conversion or buy a b16 cable tranny.

Now i just need to find someone whos recently done a b swap into their EG, so i can snag their engine for cheap

And yes, any D series will drop right in and bolt right up. You just have to have the correct clutch for your tranny........And wireing if its 0BD1.

simple as pie.
