ok well heres my painting problems...
ok well i have 1991 hatch the front and back bumpers used to be black guy had painted them white then an off white .... well i want them black again. i have bought a can of duplicolor trim paint because i am repainting all my trim...ya he painted that to. would it be ok for a flat black look to do it this way ?
first i have sanded them with 500 grit i think to fix scratches and other things then i wet sanded with 1000 grit to smooth it all out i have sanded it enough to show some of the original color and some of the off white , i bought a couple cans of duplicolor sandable primer (black), then spray it with duplicolor trim paint? i only want this for a while so can it be removed also? im just waiting tell i go boost then i will have a pro do it thank you for all that help.

If you want the paint off you will need to use like 80 grit, but if you can scuff it up really good just so there is no shine then you will be fine with the trim paint. I used it in my crx bumper at the bottom.
well i had primed them and then sprayd half with the trim paint . it came out amazing but now i have to do it all over again..i swear mother nature hates me.

I usually use 220 to strip bumpers.

You mean lower. (Lower the # the more abrasive)

Im in the process of redoing my oem crx bumper and its eurethane, is that what the 91 hatch bumper is too? If so, I would use some 180 and even it out and get whatever you can get with it, then I went over it with 220 then 320...I havent primed yet cause im using a spray gun but so far its very smooth, didnt get all the paint off, but it looks the way it should...will post pics tonight of it!
