alright guys. this guy here selling this shell wich is filled with hard to find R parts is known to be shaddy. the badge looks like 00-1430 or 00-1436 to me. if you look at the 7th pic down you can see where the vin on the door has been scratched off. something shaddy is going on here. please help us bust this guy!

also look at the front end. you can clearly see where a type R lip was! and that front end is said to be off a 2000. same as the badge!


also in the 2nd and 3rd pic you can clearly see type R rear seats.

in the 5th pi you can see the hatch. wich has the residue where a wing was. and it sure looks like the out line of a type R wing.

the 6th pic you can also see a 00-01 itr shift ***.

this thing looks to be a hacked together shell using stolen parts

Could be stolen parts... why don't you e-mail him and ask him for the badeg #? Its interesting that his rear 1/4 panel moldings are shaved but not his door moldings. And his car's too dirty to tell if those sideskirts are ITR sideskirts

ITR side skirts are the same as any other integra.

I'm a member of that site and I can tell you that there are a couple of guys who are always selling stuff but never seem to buy anything. Stolen? Hell, maybe, but how would you ever go about proving it? All those stolen car parts have to end up somewhere, right?

Finding out if the person who owns/owned the ITR with that badge number had their car stolen would be a pretty good indication...

from the info we have, badge numbers arent indicative of the number of cars produced in a given year.

 

why is it that everyone who has something with type r written on it has to be stolen? nobody believes that people buy anything anymore? it's ashamed to say that nowadays in the hondascene... everything that's "jdm, type r" is stolen. Do you guys go up to people in the street asking if their car's have stolen parts?

Fair question. I think we're all just a bit paranoid because, on average, about one ITR per week gets stolen. Living in Orlando, I can imagine you must sleep with one eye open as well.

And considering that there were only 3,850 brought into the US, I would guess that the ITR has the highest theft percentage than any other Honda or Acura - and arguably greater than any other model car as well.

I suspect the number of ITRs that have been stolen, equal or exceed the numbers that have been wrecked and parted out. I see a lot more, "my ITR has been stolen," than I do, "I crashed my ITR" threads.

00-1436 yeah, the whole thing looks shady. the interior pieces are from an R, for sure and the vins are scratched off but the **** is some knockoff chrome s***. to the OP, why is your SN fishytypeR? that's ironic.

x2 well, maybe 99.9% sure

At the moment, I don't have any records of 00-1436 or even 00-1430. Nor do I have any VINs up in that range that came back stolen or from AZ area.

Definitely fishy IMO.

EDIT: definitely looks like there used to be a lip on the front bumper. Plus he's saying it's a 95 GSR so definitely not the original front.

 

Two years back I remember hearing about a black dc2 posing as a real R in Phx/Tucson... This could very well be it.

 

I thought H-T had a listing of colors/badge numbers somewhere in the ITR forum? I searched, but turned up zilch.

guys let me chime in hear...well i picked up my shell of this dude....believe it or not..and my R was missing some of that stuff not saying it came off my R..but there is a damn good chance that is my arm badge..but it looks as if he is selling it for his brother...

 

hey before you go around accusing people and saying im shady, maybe you should do a little research. my brother traded his running salvage title del sol for this shell with the TYPE R interior in it. the link is posted below. notice the second post someone saying they wanted the interior. not to mention numerous people can vouch for me getting the car with all the interior in it. what the expletive do i have to hide, badge number is 00-1436.
