s2000, I went to the Honda Dealer today...
Looking for a 2007 S2000, they gave me a price for a white one with red and black interior for 30,900 out the door with front lip spoiler. Is that a good deal?
Also, because I want to think about it more, but the sales won't let me go, I had to think of some excuse and said that I want to compare with other cars. They asked me what other cars, and I just randomly said some cars, like GTI, Masdaspeed3, EVO. Which just reminded me the the GTI R32 is coming out very very soon, one of the honda dealer said it will be out in a few days. What do you think of the GTI R32, compare to the s2000?
I really like the s2000 overall, but I will have to keep the car for atleast 5 years, since I have to pay it off and the s2000 has been out for around 7 years already. And the GTI R32 just came out. Any suggestions?
And any other cars I should compare to at the 35000 price range, how about the BMW 328i, is that out of my range?
Thanks

and if I can get the 29,000 OTD, should I go for it, or should i look for a 2004 for around 23K?

Actually no. That's roughly invoice.
We picked one up last night for $29k + tax/license. True story.

29k +tax/liscense, what will that add up to out the door?
and are there any other fees, besides the tax and license fee, because I am a first time car buyer. And I am very excited to be able to do it myself since they approved my credit.
Also, can the credit report be transfer to other dealerships. because I don't want people to keep pulling up my credit, since it will hurt my credit score. or does it hurt that much?

Should I go for a brand new one for 31k Out the door? or a Used one 2004+ for around 23K? And I also Love the red and black combo that only 07 white offers.
Silverstone Metallic has black/red as well. $31k OTD is a great deal, regardless, for a new one. I'd say buy new if you can.
will s2000 retain its value 5 years from now, like that integra has been, because I am worrying, its out for almost 7 years.
I predict in 5 years, you will be that much older.
As far as the S2000 retaining it's value, it did quite well until the model change (AP1 to AP2) when it dropped noticeably.

i say you wait and look around..it took me awhile to get my s2k and i finally found the perfect one after 3 months. i got my 06 berlina black s2k with only 17,000 miles for 23k OTD. Go on website and search around or look at the newspapers, good luck with the seach and hope you find ones with the best price.
Wow, very nice find,
However, I would like to finance the car through a dealership, becuase CapitalOne is giving me outranguos APR for person to person used car buy. So a new car would be easier, and I believe dealership don't sell used s2000 at low price either, is that right?

You're in CA, and if you have good credit and/or enough cash, you can buy yourself a great deal.
Examples:
'06 w/ 12k miles for $22k
'07 w/ 8.4 miles for $29k
