Default stripped wheel stud??

okay excuse me if this doesnt make sense because im a little pissed. i'll update it later.

i have some drag progressives (think mugen MR5s) that have sunken areas for the stud/lugnut... that way you can add the caps. its the design of the wheel.

anyway, i let my fiances little brother borrow my wheels until he could buy new tires for himself. months have gone by and i wanted my wheels back because someone wanted to buy them.

so.... i told him to take off my wheels and put on his bald steelies. i go outside, and he stripped a stud.

normally, i would grab the cut off wheel and cut the lugnut off. but with these wheels, the lugnut is sunken into the wheel about 2 inches.

how do i get this damn wheel off? remove the entire brake/suspension on that side and work from the inside of the hub out?

I had this happen once where the stud was stripped where you could loosen it a couple turns and then it would start to spin. I got lucky, kind of, they way I got it off was I had to borrow a truck grade impact gun and over tighened it until it snapped off. I don't know if that helps but it's something
