hey peps new to the site and i was wondering does any body know where i can get a egr valve for a 91 crx hf but i have a zc dohc and i need one to pass smog test any info would help thanks.

if you can find an integra with a egr ill give you a prize. as far as i know honda doesnt use an exhaust gas recirculation valve.

from memory it uses an evap system and really thats it. everything should be there for smog. your problem will be in getting the engine passed visual, im betting it would pass the sniffer no problem but visual gets everyone. you need to try and convince someone its a d16a9.

 

HELP! I have a 91 crx si with the stock engine. My Check engine ligt comes on, and my car begins to kinda stall at low rpms, kinda like when a person doesnt know how to drive stick.

The mechanic said, the ECU said it was a problem with the EGR. He was like but you dont have a EGR....?? he said if your car was made in Canada it doesnt have an EGR.

Whats up with that? any ideas? anyone?

 

well check the code yourself on the ecu. Lift the passenger side carpet at the firewall and you will see the ecu. Now with the key to the on position the little led light on the front of the ecu will flash. Count the number of flashes short flash equals one and long flash equals ten.

 

so what is my car missing the egr or the evap any help will help thanks ahead of time
