EJ8 with unknown b18b1, need help to pass emissions
First off I just recently got this car. The previous owner and I don't know much about it, other than it has an unknown year LS.
My problem: the emissions sticker is about to expire. Before it does I want to be able to pass. My Check Engine Light is on, with it on I know I won't pass emissions.
The car: it's a 97 Civic EX with an unknown year b18b1. I say unknown because it has an older style valve cover, similar to the ZC but was told the engine was pulled from a 99 Integra. The wiring harness is off a 99-00 SI, I've notice plugs that are not plugged into anything. I figured this is because of not having a V-TEC engine. The ECU is a P2T.
How do I go about finding what year engine and or head I have? Also, how can I pass emissions with this engine?

Re: EJ8 with unknown b18b1, need help to pass emissions (usdm-ferio)
on the left side of the head over the headers and right under the valve cover the will be like a mini clock with 2 numbers itll be like this for example 9/8 and the two digits determine the year.
