Default Southwest Missouri FS: 1992 Honda Civic DX

Hey all. I finally decided to cut my losses and sell my Civic. It's a 1992 DX model with a 5-speed transmission and 242,xxx miles. It's maroon with grey interior. I am the third owner and have had the car for a little over a year now. Up until this last month it had been a great car for me, but every since then I've been having tons of problems with it trying to overheat on me. I finally figured out that the headgasket is shot, but I don't have the time, money or want-to to fix it. The exterior is a little rough. The back bumper is dented and scratched, the front bumper is scratched and cracked in one spot, and the hood has a nice big dent from where my mom backed into it. The wheel wells aren't rusted out like most Civics. The interior is in pretty good shape. There is a small tear on the driver's seat but nothing major. At this point I'm just taking offers on it, so let me know what you think it's worth and we'll talk.

Thanks.

EDIT to the EDIT: I guess my Picasa web albums aren't working for whatever reason, so you will still have to email me to get the pics. Again, my email is emailmogul at gmail dot com

Wow. Absolutely no activity whatsoever. I realize the car is crap in its current state guys, but it would make a great fixer-upper. I'll even throw in a free cookie to the first person who contacts me about it

I think my web albums might be working again. Try http://picasaweb.google.com/em...vicDX for pics.

EDIT: The link is in fact working for the pics. If anyone wants specific pics of parts of the car let me know and I will get them for you.

Sorry for my belated reply. What are some details on the hatch? How many miles and such? Any preexisting mechanical problems?

As a side note, at the moment the car does not run. I still have no clue why, but I am actively trying to find out. It was running fine about a week ago (couple of days after I posted this topic). I went out to check the spark plugs and the oil to see if either had been fouled by antifreeze, and of course, both were. I went ahead and run up to Autozone and picked up some oil and plugs, came back, changed both out, and now the car won't start. I've checked everything I can think of so far (distributor cap, rotor, plugs themselves, fuel pump) and still can't find any reason why it won't start. It cranks over fine, but the plugs don't fire. Anyway, just be aware that if you want the car in running condition you may have to wait just a bit until I figure out what is wrong with it and fix it.

Thanks all.

It is actually a really clean shell! I'm interested, and could probably haul it off, but timing is awful. It will be more than a month before I have time to go after it. Where in MO is it? You could just get a jdm d15b non-vtec motor and swap it in. Those are really cheap.

Bump and good luck with the sale.

Thanks man. I'm still going to try to find out why it won't start. Then at least if it doesn't sell and you're still interested you could probably drive it home rather than having to trailer it. I'm in the Joplin area.

you probably need to do the resolder trick to your main relay.

I'll try and check both of those tomorrow. It just seems so weird that it was working before I changed the spark plugs. But who knows? Gremlins seem to get into anything and everything when it comes to vehicles.
