Default My turbo LS hatch and my buddy's NA Gsr hatch..

yesterday i got a chance to drive my friend's gsr hatch w/ i/h/e.. well when i was in the passenger seat, it felt pretty strong and the top end was impressive.. but when i drove it it seemed normal and didn't have as much torque that i've been used to..

is it just me, or do cars feel so much faster, when you're in the passenger seat and not the driver?? sure does to me..

well, anyways, after taking my buddy's gsr hatch out for a spin, he wanted to take a spin in my turbo LS hatch, so i took him out for a spin.. it was his 1st time in my car since i had it finished and he was very impressed and suprised by the performance..

though my car has more torque overall, i wish my car had a little more top end that it currently has as compared to the NA gsr's top end.. MAN, i need to port my LS head or somethin to help the flow, maybe a vtec head perhaps.. what do u guys think? whats my better option?? getting head work for my LS or going w/ a vtec head.. I also understand that i may need a vtec ecu to run that setup, so that's more money ontop of getting a vtec head..

Yea, it does feel faster when your in the passenger seat because the driver is controlling the car. So you dont know when he's going to punch it.. erhh I think you get what I'm saying.

I wouldn't reccommend an LS/VTEC swap. Is your motor built for high boost? Get a B20 block with low compression pistons.

I agree with the above post...Its hard to explain, but if YOU are the driver you know when you are gonna floor it and you know what the car will do. God I sound retarded saying that, but hopefully everyone knows what I'm talking about.

I agree. Let me say first off, that sometimes my car scares me when I'M driving it. Not that i'm a puss of something, but it's not your average turbo honda. One of the very few times I've let someone else drive my turbo car I find myself reaching for the "oh ****" handle. Even with them just rolling it down in 2nd, or 3rd, not racing, just a healthy pedal drop......Evil.
