Crank and wont start?
wassup everyone im new here. im david and im 22 im a marine stationed in camp pendleton originally from htown, tx. but yea anyways im totally lost! please help me. my wife drives a 93 prelude with a f22b1 engine in it. heres how the story goes. she got her cd player stolen by the hoodlums of california and so i installed a pioneer in for her and replaced the fuses for the clock/radio because it was blown. then the next day the car wouldn't start? so i took the batteries to autozone to get it checked it was bad so i replaced it. then for some odd reason i checked the spark plugs and there was oil in there so i wiped it down and to make the long story short they were bad spark plugs to so i replaced them with the wires and did a compression test which was good but now it cranks strong but still wont start. and i also replaced the ignition coil and nothing! someone PLEASE help me i dont know what else could be wrong.
thanks man imma tell you how it goes when i change it out this friday...oh yea i also tried this....i put the key in the ignition but didn't start the car just turned it to the second click and tried to turn on the AC and it didn't work....but the radio works and everything...and no i haven't messed with the distributor yet....

The Main Relay activates & primes the fuel pump when you turn the key to position 2, you should actually be able to hear it the pump kick in when you turn the key. Assuming that's working ok now since you swapped it out, my money would be on the distributor...
i just changed the distributor cap and rotor....and nothing...still i dont see any sparks can anyone tell me the correct firing order for a F22B engine i've been searching for it and find different answer all the time? and i have another question do you think the reason im not getting is cuz my engine is flooded from trying to start it too many times? i really appreaciate all you guy's help...
Have you checked all of the fuses?
Have you checked to see if it is actually getting spark?
Are there any CEL codes?
These are all things you should've checked before you started
swapping all of these parts.

There is a component inside the distributor called the Ignition Module, aka the Ignitor, which is quite a common thing to fail on Prelude's. When this packs up you get the symptoms that your describing. I think there is actually a procedure to test if the ignitor is bad in the downloadable workshop manual, using a multimeter.
If this is the problem, you can just buy a replacement ingitor and swap it out, or swap out the whole distributor if need be. There should be some procedures in the archives if you search for 'ignitor' etc.
Also, check all your earth's are good on the car.

i gave up guys....i towed it to the shop....thanks for all your help though! i'll repost and tell you what was wrong with it for future refrences if anyone ever has this problem they'll know how to acess the situation....but yea thanks anyways....
it turns out that it was a broken wire to the ecu!! all that replacing parts for no reason....well i guess its better to replace them no then later right
whenever something like this happens man whip out a voltmeter and go from there dont replace parts until you find the culprit voltmeters save you cash! get the voltage specs off the net and go from there...but i guess someone else couldve said this as well...
