Default honda civic 01 oil filter relocation kit?

I changed my oil on my own for the first time on my 2001 Honda Civic and realized that the Oil filter is in such a place that when you take it off it will leak all over the place. Does anyone know where I can find a reasonably priced relocation kit?

M20x1.5 Blockoff plate and a remote filter mount. Build it.
I have the parts laying around here somewhere. I swtiched my setup. Have a blockoff plate thats been machined so it fits between the IM brackets and a remote mount. I'm sure I can work something out if you want it.

Um you could use break cleaner and it will clean it right up. Very cheap and it only takes about two seconds. Been doing it for 70k miles

So did you have a relocation Setup where did you end up mounting it? If you have the parts that would be great had the hardest time knowing what to look for and even if it would fit correctly.

Fold a shop rag into thirds and tuck it under the oil filter so that when it drops the oil, the oil will roll down the rag and into the catch pan.

No kit exists. You buy parts.... and build one.

Boilermaker1, I realize this is an OLD thread, but I had a question for you. I
want to make sure I know exactly how you did your hoses. Looks like you
go from original oil location center hole (oil feed/output??) to the oil cooler
input. From the oil cooler output to the filter relocation input. This goes
to the center hole of the oil filter. Oil filter relocation output then goes to
the original oil filter location on the side (oil to engine/input??)

I have seen some kits on ebay like this one:
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...3742&viewitem=

Let me know if this makes sense. BTW, my set up is for a K24 honda.

Thanks!!!

center hole in the blockoff to the center hole in the filter mount, offset hole in the blockoff to the offset hole in the filter mount (or loop the cooler in here). Just match em up. You're just making an "extension harness" per se to move the oil filter.
The oil cooler goes AFTER the filter.
A lot of the blockoffs/adapters have markings or arrows cast into them for "in" and "out"

Thanks. I realized my mistake after I did some more searching on the web.
I found this picture, and minus the bypass, I fully understand.

Thanks for your quick reply. I will now see what kit/parts to get.
