what will you be doing with the car? If you are going to do a swap and aren't afraid of wiring, avoid the Si! Heavier and you will eventually want to get rid of the sunroof if you want to autocross or ??? cuz it takes away about 3 inches of headroom (think helmet)

no swaps, just plan on driving around town for now. i found one today the is a 89 dx. got a 136,000 miles. dooode only wants 1200 obo for it. i'm going to give him a call in a few to see if he can meet me to give it a good look over (under the hood, and crank it up).

If you could find a DX that had lotsa miles on it, with a fairly good body, then you could put an SI motor in it, or a ZC for cheap.

Specific places for rust are: where the A-pillar meets the roof, Inside rear wheel wells, and side windows-where they fold out.

This is where I have rust on mine, I love the car now so I will fix it up.

Anyone decide to keep their car and repair the rust? Are you glad you did? From what Carfax says, my car has never been wrecked, another reason I want to keep it. A lot of owners though.

A tip, CO, UT, NM, AZ cars = no rust. AZ cars close to CA suffer from CA pricing.

A friend of mine got a 90 std. for $300. It needed a motor (I just happened to have a DX motor laying around). The car was a daily driver in Vail, CO. Bought new from the dealer in Glenwood Springs.

I recently bought a 90 DX for my sis, perfect interior, a few door dings here and there + a larger issue (dent) in the drivers door - $1000. Ran perfect. Came from Longmont, CO.

My '88 Civic DX was an ebay purchase in 1999. $500, ran good, needed some front end sheet metal, but was drivable (drove it uninsured & unregistered with the prev. owners plates back to southeastern KY from Atlanta, GA). THe hood looked like Stallone's upper lip.

Bottom line, the deals are out there, you just gotta wait for them.
