Default GSR: 1.8->2.0 Questions

i have a project that ive started and just wanted to know if anyone has the experience with this...i no its been done before but i know there r different ways to do so and i searched on the forum and found nothing....heres a list of the parts that i have in line for my setup by the way which is gonna b boosted:

85mm Arias Pistons 8.7:1
Darton 85mm Bored sleeves
Eagle Rods*
B20 crank**
Cometic Headgasket
Moroso Oil Pan

*im guessing im gonna have to use the B20 rods?
**What all do i need done to fit the crank into the block

and with the whole oil situation do i use the stock gsr oil pump or do i use the b20 oil pump?...and what bearings do i use?...anything that would help is greatly appreciated...and i am doing this on my own except the machining of course but anyways thanks in advance

bore is kinda big meaning there's no room for error and the compression is pretty low...i'd go w/ a 9:1 at very least

that compression is low. im running a lil over 9:1 and even at that i could have gone up a lot more

if you are going forced induction i would start your sleeves off at an 83mm bore. 84 at most.

all the oil pumps are the same from 96 and up so get one of them.

8.7:1 is fine, i would suggest getting an oem honda head gasket at the bore size you choose. golden eagle mfg has them.

i believe darton recommends 84mm bore as max for forced induction, alot of people bore to 83mm just incase something goes wrong so they can bore it over again without having to sell the block to someone who wants to go all-motor

your compression would be fine though, bumping up the compression wont help that much with power (atleast not enough that you couldnt turn up the boost a little bit to compensate)

i just want to say make sure those darton sleeves are properly installed b/c my sleeves shifted on the first pull on the dyno with only 7 psi or get a blockgard from golden eagle it will save you allot of pain

get a LS crank dont qoute me but i believe the B20 stroke is the same as the LS stroke of 89mm.
also theres nothing wrong with using the compression ratio you choose just because your pistons say 8.7:1 doesnt mean thats your actual total compression you gotta take into account for gasket thickness, combustion chambers CC, and deck height.

yes using the b20 crank is fine in the gsr block, just make sure you use rods for an ls/b20
