Default b18c motor swap help

I just put a b18c motor in my 99 integra and it keeps skipping timing. Just wondering if anyone else has run into this and what I might be doing wrong

skipping the timing? im not so sure what you mean? if your timing is off... you can try loosening your distributor, and advance or retard the timing using a timing gun. hope this helps.

I used the engine harness from my old motor, do you think that could be the problem?

is your timing belt loose to the point where its skipping teath? the timing belt tentioner might be off center when you tightened it down. Mine did that but I caught it before it went into the car. good luck.

I can manually spin my motor from the bottom and the timing belt starts "walking" off the gears

Your tensioner may have let loose, or the belt wasn't properly tensioned and is loose somewhere else. If it is walking off the gears there is definitely a mechanical issue, not an electrical one. Pull of the timing covers and reset the belt. Remember to keep all the slack on the tensioner side, and rotate the cames 2 teeth past TDC before tightening the tensioner.

Sounds like the tensioner is loose.
