Gauge Plug and Play...Does AT to MT matter?

Gauge Plug and Play...Does AT to MT matter?
Can i plug and play an AT (w/ or w/o air bags) gauge cluster from an LX Civic to my 01 Civic DX? or does it have to be AT with AT and MT with MT? and does a coupe gauge have to go with a coupe gauge or can i mix and match?
