2007 civic lx acceleration and cruse problems
random intervals? or going up hills/accelerating for road conditions? I dunno if it's related, but I've heard you get better gas mileage by not using cruise for this very reason. The tranny wants to downshift every time the car needs to accelerate. Under normal conditions you would probably just press the gas a little harder in whatever gear you're in. Maybe you are just experiencing this same "phenomenon"
I experienced it last weekend while on the freeway going through the cascade mtns. I was doing around 70 in cruise and even the slightest incline would make it downshift and cruise at around 4k rpm and stay there until the incline ended.

if you have to ask then your probably not the best mechanical person to be under your hood, i mean its koo to ask for help and all but yah... it's brand new, USE the WARRANTY

^^^oh come on SeanJohn
it's an R18 - acceleration is gonna suck
Low HP motor with cruise on is gonna downshift to get into the RPM range where it makes enough power to accelerate (very slowly still... lol)
I still have no idea what this has to do with the OP being a "mechanical person under the hood" or not. I don't know how a warranty would help him fix what is ultimately a "feature" of the car (cruise control) when it functions correctly.
If you're still worried OP then go with SeanJohn's advice and take it to the dealer. If there is in fact something wrong then the warranty will cover it like he said.
