call or go to a local dealership, they are the only ones who can give you the code to unlock the radio.

They can do it for free if you give them your VIN Number and your Radio ID #.

To find that without having to go behind your dash..

couple places..
open your glove box, and then look on the outside right side.. should see a white sticker with a serial on it.. that should be your radio id.
You can also find it by flipping over your fuse box..should be a sticker there as well.

Call the Local dealer, because the national hotline will charge you. If you give them that information, and you show up as owner of the car, they can give you the code for free... they will try and make you pay money by going to the dealer, but if you get the right person you can get it over the phone.

<TABLE WIDTH="90%" CELLSPACING=0 CELLPADDING=0 ALIGN=CENTER><TR><TD>Quote, originally posted by mdh061 &raquo;</TD></TR><TR><TD CLASS="quote">they will try and make you pay money by going to the dealer</TD></TR></TABLE>

my understanding is they will try and charge you if they have to pull the radio to get the info, so if you already have the radio pulled there should be no charge.

I had the same problem with my 98 honda accord, i called honda customer service at: 1-800-999-1009, they asked me to fax in a copy of my drivers license and registration to prove ownership, once i did that they called me and gave me my radio code.If you go to a dealer, they will definitely try to rip you off, so call honda and u should get it for FREE.

Not that spending money on a new CD player would be a bad thing. For $120 to $150 you (he) can pick up a nice unit that plays .mp3s, .wmas, .aacs, not to mention playing CD-Rs without any problems (I believe that the CD players from the mid to late '90s were very touchy as far as whether or not they'd play CD-Rs).
